DAMAC residential tower development, including “The Heights”, “The Lofts” and “The Courtyard”, is one of the first residential high-rise developments in the city of Amman. It is part of Al-Abdali urban development project, a new and unique urban center that combines business, social and residential elements as well as leisure and entertainment facilities to offer a complete lifestyle destination.
The playfulness of the tower massing, elegance of proportions and ratios of solid void, the elevated white stone cuts; were all features that contributed to the creation of a residential landmark that was a distinctive addition to the city’s skyline. While it was essential to develop a design in compliance with the Master Plan Guidlines, a distinct character was accomplished through the progression of an efficient, modern, aesthetically rich and site-oriented design.
The minimalistic and modern design portrayed lightness and elegance. The elevated tower was achieved through utilizing the maximum allowable height within the regulated total build up area. White stone pays homage to the prevailing character of residences of the city.
The tower is programmed into approximately 84,000m² of built-up area. The effective and efficient utilization of space resulted in the collective provision a total of 355 residential Apartments. Types provided are Studios, One-Bedroom, Two-Bedroom, Three-Bedroom apartments and Duplexes. And while variant in type, exciting views are intently provided for all apartments. Other amenities that increase the quality of living in the tower were incorporated; landscaped parks, retail, fitness and pool, as well as restaurants and cafes.
An additional feature of the project was the design of the central civic plaza, which creates an atmosphere for people to socialize and interact; catering to the residents as well as connecting with the network of open spaces within the urban development.
