Project Description

This large social housing development is a turnkey project covering design, execution, completion, and remedying of 8 communities.

With 710 buildings from 4 to 18 floors, the project comprises 20,002 apartments. Public buildings include 246 shops, 24 kindergartens, 17 schools, 2 subway stations, 1 sewage treatment plant, 1 water treatment plant and all roads and municipal systems.

The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, praised phase 1 of the project as “the brightest pearl on the crown of Angolan reconstruction and the model for all social housing projects in Africa.”
